How kaufmanlab.com handles visitor data.
Effective October 7, 2026.
This policy applies to the website kaufmanlab.com. The controller of personal data is Roman Kaufman, an individual entrepreneur registered in Russia (the "operator").
The site is hosted on a server in Russia (Timeweb Cloud). The Russian-language site, kaufmanlab.ru, has its own policy under Russian law.
Without your consent, the site sets no analytics cookies. The server receives the technical data that every browser sends with a request: IP address, browser details and the requested page. The server needs this data to deliver the page.
The site keeps two settings in your browser's local storage (localStorage): light or dark theme, and your choice in the cookie banner. They stay on your device and are not sent to the server or to anyone else.
If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies and collects: approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, date and time of the visit, pages viewed, link clicks and the source that brought you to the site.
If you message the operator on Telegram through the "Contact" link, the operator receives your Telegram username and the text of your message. The site has no forms for entering data.
Visit statistics and site improvement: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The operator sees Google Analytics data only as aggregated reports and does not use it to identify visitors.
Delivering pages and keeping the site secure: the operator's legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Replying to your Telegram message: steps taken at your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or the operator's legitimate interest in answering it, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. kaufmanlab.com uses them only for Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. Google processes visit data under its own published terms and may transfer it outside your country, including to the United States. The site does not use Yandex Metrica or any other analytics service.
The analytics script loads only after you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same.
To withdraw consent, clear this site's data (cookies and local storage) in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit, and you can choose "Decline". You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The operator does not sell personal data. It is shared only with Google, for Google Analytics; with the hosting provider, Timeweb Cloud, which stores the site; and where the law requires disclosure.
Data is kept no longer than its purpose requires. The operator applies technical and organizational measures to protect it, and the site runs over HTTPS.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the data held about you; to have it rectified or erased; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
Send requests on Telegram, through the "Contact" link in the site menu. The operator replies within one month.
The operator may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date at the top.
